Feul Pressure Problem

I recently installed a DI fuel regulator kit. After install, it would hold the 65 psi fine after I turned the key off. Now it bleeds down in about 10-20 seconds. All connections are dry, so I figure its bleeding back thru thru pump, or somewhere else. my oil looked thin and smelled a bit like diesel, but I think its just in my head. I did replace injectors 500 miles back though.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Mine bleeds down almost instantly when I shut it off. You did remove the checkvalve in the feed line when you installed the fuel system...doesn't leave anything holding up the pressure.

I removed the checks, but its regulted to the return line, so it should hold pressure? or atleast it did when i first put it on and checked for leaks.

Thanks

Not sure why it held pressure originally, but it should not have been. The regulator can only create pressure if there is flow. It should drop to zero as soon as the pump cycles off.
