Hey all, I have a 2003 F250 CC w/ 6.0 Sport Package. I was wondering if I would or could be able to swap rear seats out of a 04,05,06' so that I could have the rear cargo floor. Has anyone done this? It seems to me that the cabs are pretty much the same in the back but I am not really sure. I checked with the Ford parts guy and he thinks it would fit but wouldn't sell a complete rear seat assembly. He would only sell each piece seperately. Couldn't afford that even if I was a millionaire. Anyone know where I could get one for the sport package (black cloth seats)? Thanks ahead of time.
Scotty
Specific seats are often hard to find, junk yards and Ebay are my two favorite places to look for things of this nature. Most newer seats are a 40/60 design, and the 03, I think, is a full bench. If so, then it wont directly bolt in, but it will fit. The newer style 40/60 seats are held down with 8 bolts, the one piece seats use 4. Its easy enough to drill a few holes and make it work, but yes it should physically fit with no problems.
Scott250, I did just what you are wanting to do. Here is some words from my old post: Check out E-bay for seats. I got a rear 60/40 out of a 2004 CC. I replaced the one in my 2003 CC that was a bench. This was last year. The seat I got was a new factory take off from some custom interior maker. Call and talk to the guys that are selling new Ford seats on e-bay even if it's not quite what you want. They have contacts. That's how I found mine.
I agree, getting parts from Ford is too pricie. When I was looking, Ford Parts did not have a part number for complete seats. The only way to get a seat from them was buy each part separately. About $4000+ I found the complete seat for $400 and shipping was $250. In my case, I had to buy the 3 addition self-taper bolts to mount the new seat but the floor board already had the mounting bosses welded to the underside. I drill out the floor board for the additional bolts and mounted the seat using the 4 original + the 3 new bolts. Easy swap once you find the seat
