I got the Edge and attitude monitor installed in my 2004 F-350 with Airaid Intake system. If i put my Edge in the stage 5 and race my truck still wont run over 100. What can i do to allow it not to shut off?
I hate to tell you this, but the Edge product does not reprogram the software of the truck like a SCT does. I run the Edge product and the SCT tuner on the economy setting. This has allowed me to get the best fuel economy, great shifting and elimination of the fuel cut off. Honestly I don;t know how fast it will go.
I ran my truck across Alligator Alley (I-75) in south Florida a couple weeks ago with the SCMT program in HP mode. I was using my Garmin 5 gps unit to display the trucks speed beyond 100mph. At 110mph the speedometer goes back to zero. With 3:73 gears, stock tires, a torqshift trans and the revs about 3700 the truck is a freight train at 130mph. It was still very slowly gaining speed but that is about as fast as it would go at wide open throttle.

My truck scares me at 90. The thought of a 37 inch tire blowin out and doing cartwheels inside 4 tons of steel. I'll stick to my bike if I want to go that fast.
steve
i beleive that matt (psd) has had is truck up 148 mph.his mirrors slammed in and broke the glass.
Yes, its in your best interest to fold the mirrors before attempting such.
As for the speed rated tires- that is a continuous rating- they fail from heat buildup, and for only a short period of time those tires would withstand 200+ miles per hour (yes, the stock ones) without sustaining any damage. It's just like EGT's- it is relative to both speed AND time you are there.
Now at about 115 you will find out quite quickly if your tires are in balance
