You have chk all fuses ?
Have you chk the ignition sw ?
also wiggle the gear shift lever on the colum if this is a auto (the dtr sw on the tranny could be loose or bad)The switch needs to be in park or neutral to start.
switch on the clutch pedal if a manual.

Have checked all the fuses and relays and they were all good I might try the Ignition switch but everyhting works but start so maybe i will check all the fusible links its an auto and maybe the nuetral safety switch too?
Had the same problem with my 2001 SD 7.3 three times, it was the starter gone bad each time. same way, everything was fine ,turn truck off go to restart nothing Each starter it was the same thing starter fried. Was told by another tech (not ford) the ford starters in the 7.3 aren't heavy duty enough to turn the 7.3s and they burn out, also told me they can be customized to handle the job but i really can remember how , something to do i think with changing the contact sizes for the wireing hookups. Anyway mine always seem to blow 1 month after the 1 year ford warranty. Good Luck
