Accelerator Problems
I have a 1987 F-150 5.0L. When I press the accelerator it acts like its not getting enough gas, but after a few seconds it will go on and accelerate normally.
Does anyone know what this is caused by?

i am having similar problems on the 94 i just bought. and i had a severe problem with what i think is wrong with an 86 i had . . . i think if you change out the throttle cable/linkage assembly stuff, it will solve the problem
i think this will solve it that is
check your throttle cable, the plastic thingy that holds the spring might be cracked or something and the spring is loose or out of place, causing it to be difficult to accelerate
