o2 sensor

i have an 86 f150 with a efi 302

i think the o2 sensor was never hooked up after i had a new engine put in cause the gas mixture is running so rich it floods itself out and wont start

i was wondering if any of you could let me know how to check if its bad or not hooked up and instructions and/or diagrams to show how to hook it up

Get a code reader and check the computer codes. The computer will tell you right away if the O2 sensor is not working.
