Have a 93 Bronco XLT with one intermittent electric window motor (drivers side) and one inoperative electric window motor (passenger side). I spent 30 minutes one afternoon trying to remove the passenger side door panel in an attempt to get at the electric motor. I got the panel loose, but couldn't get it all the way off the door. Didn't want to pull too hard, so ended up just putting everything back together. Is there a trick to getting the door panels off without damaging them?
Note: I have changed out an electric window motor previously (an older Mazda about 10 years ago) and remember the entire job requiring only about 25-30 minutes. Although not a skilled mechanic, I am trainable....
not that bad but the bottom attaching studs are plastic and can be a bear to remove without breaking but they are cheap at the dealer or auto parts store get all of the philips head screws out armrest and other areas sometimes down at the bottom of the panel and the get a putty knife right beside the plastic studs and pry upwards itll come just be patiant itll come be prepared to unhook the lock and windows switches when it comes off i had to use some sheetmetal snips to make a bigger access hole to remove and install the new moter good luck about an hour job even faster the second time around

Yeah, then you just have to guide it off the door handle. there have been window motor treads before, a quick forum search will you to them. I seem to remember the window motors are riveted in. have fun! -BBB
Make sure u get all the srews off .there one or two on ya door rest your windows switches pull out(sideways in the hole) and will tuck behind the panel after u have freed it from the door, the handle catches the panel, so u have to remove it pulling the handle ou tlike the door is opened and to the back of the truck. Seems every time i pull mine off i miss a screw or two. Be carefull ,look around the whole panel before attempting to remove. the plastic door holders are cheap buy a few setrs before attempting TR
Dont forget to unconnect the light.
Next time you go after it make sure you allow yourself
enough time to get it done.
Then take your time,if you get stuck walk away
from it and come back in 10 min.
You will get it.
Before you go to all that work, have you cleaned the contacts in the window switches. The passenger window did not work in my Bronco when I bought it and all it was that the switch was dirty. And they can be cleaned without taking the panels off.I upgraded my speakers in the doors and the panels are hard to get off. There are couple of those studs between the door handle and the front edge of the panel.I used a large screwdriver to reach in and pry, twist whatever to pop them out.
