I would say your thermostat is sticking open, not closed.

OK the truck cab blows cold air and the motor gets really hot. Happened today and I had to leave her. After being plugged in for aprox 6hrs she was normal/. I might drain fluid and swap out stat?

Seems like a good place to start. Would also pressure test system and cap.

Good luck, but it sounds like your doing (or will do) the right thing to check out the problem.

Sounds like something plugging the heater hose and no warm water circulating through the heater core.

Did you ever solve your problem Alaska? Today my truck put out luke warm air and cold at idle. Diagnostics show an engine temperature of 171 degrees.....guess I'll be doing my thermostat today. I din't find a quick search on operating temps for the 6.0L.....but dang it's cold out 7 degrees this morning..

I just started plugging in over night and that seems to do the trick.
