Sluggish
K, my truck's been sitting for a while. I pulled the tranny and rebuilt it (NP435)And put in a new clutch. Got everything back together and started it up. Runs o.k. when warm, but i gotta hook up the choke and everything like that etc. But when I go to drive it forward in 2nd gear it seems really sluggish under load and I gotta keep the revs high or else the engine will stall. 1st gear is fine, and reverse works well. But I know that my coil isn't good, it's an old one i found around the shop and my points aren't in that great of shape either. Now would a faulty coil and points cause the engine to be sluggish? I think it would, so i'm gonna get an MSD blaster 2 coil and a good set of points and see how it works out. If you got any suggestions, throw them at me.

If you have parts that aren't hooked up, and parts that you know are faulty..... I'd start there. Fix what ya know aint right first! It'll be a lot easier to find the problem. Just my .02 worth.
