Cuda- I am so sorry for the wrong numbers. I should've read my application guide a little closer and slower.

Steve- Thanks for looking out for him.

Aah, you just mistakenly used your driving glasses instead of your reading glasses....

My "Other" vote is for KYB Monomax. I did a little research and found that Rancho is made by Monroe. Monroe shocks are too soft for my taste and they don't seem to last very long. Years ago KYB had a section of thier website that tested several of the top HD truck shocks. While Bilsteins obviously came out on top, KYB was right behind them and tested much better that the other competition.

They don't have that study on thier website anymore but I have run KYB's on all my cars and trucks for the last 10 years and have always been impressed with thier quality. They are just stiff enough for towing but don't make the truck ride rough when empty. And, they are about half the cost of Bilsteins. Check them out at www.tirerack.com

It's hard to say which pair I was wearing since they're probably still stuck in my butt, where my head apparently was.

The ONLY problem with the eBay Bilsteins is that Bilstein won't warranty them if you have a problem (the seller isn't an authorized Bilstein distributor/retailer). Having said that, I bought 4 Bilsteins from this guy on eBay and had no problems whatsoever with the transaction or the shocks.

Question for the SD guys with the Bilsteins: When I installed Bilsteins on my Dodge Ram the ride went from comfortable (if not a little uncontrolled due to the OEM shocks being worn out) to feeling like I pumped the tires up to 100 psi. How do the Bilsteins do in the SuperDutys compared to the OEM gas-charged shocks as far as the ride is concerned?

Thanks.

CUDA- My brother had a set on his 99 V-10 that I got when he lifted his truck. He ran them 30k miles, then I ran them 30k miles under the PSD, then I put them on my dad's truck (PSD). They are on their third truck!

Oh. The Rancho's wore out in about 25-30k.

Fat diesel, I'm assuming you mean the Bilsteins? You didn't mention any brand in your post. I'm pretty sure I'm gunna go with Bilsteins as I've heard nothing but positives about them and I only want to do this once... your story definately shows that I will most likely only be doing this once if I go with Bilsteins
