Paint? on windows...

Hi I bought my 01 f150 from Carmax last year. After a week or so when I was cleaning the windows I noticed that there seems to be paint sprayed very lightly on the window. When you are cleaning it you can tell the difference in texture of the window, you can also see it from the inside of the cab when the sun shines the correct way.

I was wondering if there was anyway that I could get rid of this? It is on the rear window too which has the tint or privacy glass, if that makes a difference.

Thanks
James

use a good glass cleaner and a one sided razor blade to scrape it off. be sure to use the window cleaner because it is need for lubricant so you do not scratch the glass.

thats why its safer to use glass cleaner and a razor blade or steele wool. why take a chance on the thinner and cause your self hundreds of dollars for a paint job.

The steel wool by itself will remove all the overspray...

BUT, did you say it was on the outside? or the inside? I ask because you mentioned the window tint...

If it's on the inside, then stay away from it with the steel wool, it will scratch the tint beyond repair...

yeah, if its on the tint then you might as well have the tint replaced because the razor blade might even mess it up and thinner will mess it up as well. but you can also look at it like you have nothing to loose any way.

Paint on glass

Try Goof Off you can get it a paint stores or paint dept of the big box stores. It will do it. Also it is handy stuff to have in the workshop.
