i want to change my fuel filter on my 95-4.0 xlt. does anyone know witch number fuse works the fuel pump so i can depressurize the fuel system? i already searched the forum with no luck. thanks.
Both will work (see above). To elaborate on the inertia switch... pull the carpeting back on the passenger side under the glove box. There is a switch there. I believe you depress the red button on the top to release the pressure. It can be reset when you are done. If I recall correctly this is a safety switch which cuts the fuel flow in case of accident. It works well for fuel pressure release.
The relay in the Power Distribution Box is easy too. They should be labelled (look under the lid of the PDB).
Don't forget your little tools for the fuel filter. You need those clip releasing tools for this job. The filter being underneath on the frame rail usually means the releases are stubborn.
