Brownie Box

Hello guys, I have a "68 1 ton 4x4 that we took the gas engine out and put in a International 6-cylinder turbo charged diesel engine. I have a Brown-lipe gear box model 5531A that has a .73 overdrive and I'm looking for a .81 overdrive. Does anybody want to trade gears/boxes or sell a set of .81 OD gears? Or have any suggestions as where to find the gears?

Hey Mike-

I have tried to do some research into the Brownie OD/UD box and I haven't been able to come up with much. But, I did find this page with a short discussion with 'Browne-lipe Bob' who seems to be the most authoratative person around. Check it out, he might be able to help you.

794x4390, thanks for the link. Brown Lipe Bob sounds like the man when it comes to brownie's but no luck searching for him. Thanks

While looking for an add-on overdrive option, I came across this link about the Spicer 5831. Maybe your 5531 is like it and this guy might know about it.
