First drive
Elvis took his first steps today, drove under his own power from my driveway into the garage so I can try to finish up the wiring tomorrow morning. Engine is running rough and only have 50 psi on #6 while running so some flathead diagnostics are in order. Lots of things left to do, but a major milestone passed.
Thanks to all of you out there for sharing your incredible knowledge.

Unlike Elvis my 56 is all apart on the stand but this winter should change all that. Nice to hear of a flatie powered truck.

That's cool. It's always good when they move on their own power.

Very nice, very nice!! I hope that you did this in true truck guy fashion....
....short pipes with no mufflers!! Gotta let the neighbors know that it runs!!
Congrats and having it move under its own power...its a great feeling!

Actually did it with stock exhaust installed, but I was sitting on a milk crate because the interior is not done. Does that count?

Scott,
LOL....that counts! I'll bet it took awhile for the ear to ear grin to fade away.
