Catback question

Hey all,

Just bought a TrueFlow Intake system for my 2006 Expedition and found that I'm getting up 40 more miles per tank improvement.

I'm seeing alot of people talking about and asking qestions about "catbacks", what exactly is this and would something along this help improve gase mileage?

I don't want to go over $200 - $250 and I don't want the sound that would make the wife notice (she already asked about the noise diff after the intake)

Any help, lessons and/or suggestions?

A cat back system is a Catalytic Converter back exhaust. By federal regulations, you can't remove the cat, and replacement cats are $200-500 each so they replace everything behind it.

You aren't going to find many if any kits under $300. You might be able to get a new exhaust bent up for $250-300, but a retail kit is more. SS is more, but will last the life of your vehicle. Aluminized should do for 3-15 years depending on your location and driving habits.
