^Welcome to FTE. Yes I've had 'problems' the trouble is that the problem was me. The climate controlled seats are no pinnacle of freezing or firing your butt, but it is better than nothing.

Well, the heating and cooling are sporadic at best, and sometimes no cooling at all.
Or at least I can't feel it. Dealer says the Peltier devices are Ok, and filters are clean.
The air flow is so weak I don't see why they bother to use a dial from 1 to 5.
Even at 5 I can barely feel it. I'm in Florida so the cooling seats was a nice touch but so far I'm dissappointed.

I have the Heat AC seats and the driver side will turn off after 5 minutes of heat with minimal heat and I have to turn the car off to reset it. But the passenger side will go the full length of time and plenty of heat. Of course when I took it to the dealer it worked fine? Good luck I will keep an eye on this post, maybe we will get some answers

My 04 EB had the same problem I took it to ford and they said every thing appeared normal then one day I notice the floor mats were shoved up all the way under the driver seat (Kids) and when I when I would go to work, I would put my brief case directly behind the seat restricting any air to get under the seat causing the seat to overheat and shut down within 5 minutes, I think. Since then I fixed the floor mats and keep that space open and I have had no problems. I’m not sure if that is what caused the problem but it has worked ever since. Good luck.

I recently had my disintegrating seat cushions replaced under warranty. Made a world of difference. Now I have to turn the heat down! If you have a heating issue you should have them checked out.

snapman,
are yours the air cooled/ air heated seats?
If so where did you see the disitegration of the foam?
It seems that under the seat is logical and mentioned here on other posts, buts I don't see any foam, the fan runs and I get SOME HEAT and SOME (very Little) cooling.
I wish I could find a definitive issue to point to the dealer...they just say "thats how they are supposed to work" Yeah Right...

enskanker,
Yes I do have heated/cooled seats. This on an 04 EB. I had small pieces of foam on the carpet around and under the seat. Ask your dealer to check for a TSB
