Heated Seats

Does your heated seats stay on or do they turn off by themselves?

I don't know, I've always turned mine off when my butt got too hot. What I'd like to see is a variable switch on the seats to keep me comfortable. Jack them up when it's freezing outside then turn them down to a comfortable level.

I believe they are like the heated outside mirrors. Once they get to a pre-set temp, they shut off (Don't quote me on that).

Any idea how long it takes to reach ths "pre set time"? I have an '05 and mine stay on for at least 30 minutes without going off. May even be longer than that but it takes 30 minutes to drive home from work so that's why I used that amount of time.

I have a '06 and mine stay on until I turn them off. Also if they are on when I turn my truck off, the next time I start my truck, they come on.
