Hi all,
I know there are a couple of post's out there discussing the F600 intrument panel. Well i haven't been able to find the answers i was looking for, so hopefully somebody can help me out. I have a 68 F100, and was wondering what year F600 instrument cluster would i have to use? Now say i find one, how do i connect it? Is it just plug in your speedo cable and plug in your harness, or do i have to splice into other wires to get everything else to work? Please somebody help me out, thanx in advance.
Hey 68 custom cab, The one I got was off a 69 F600 or so they told me. It had the original wiring on the back that just plugged right into my 67 F100 wiring harness but the blinkers would not work. I took the wiring harness off the F600 dash and put my original 67 F100 wiring harness on it and every thing worked correctly. I have a pic of it in my gallery you can see. As to what years will fit I would imagine 67-72 but I dont have any documentaion on that. Try and get one that has the original wiring plug on it like I did, even though I didnt use it. I still have my original if you need one and its not difficult at all. I hope this helps, Charles
I just did it to mine and it look great I love the look I just need a tach for christmas now!!!!!!! well the one I got was a 76 we have or grain truck with a factory tach in a 75 but my dad won't let me steal it as we still use it alot so I had to find my own. but 67 thru 76 I know forsure. the wiring The blinker pulg in the harness was missing on the f600 dash so I just wired a new little plug in the 69 harness and they all clip together and work fine.
I have seen them up to the 1979 year models. There is a good range of years to find one, But i'm having the problem in my area to even locate one good junk truck. Seems most are sent to be crush as soon as they come in. Oh well I just keep looking
