I am converting my '72 from automatic to standard transmission. I have the flywheel/clutch installed along with the bellhousing and starter. I wanted to start it up tonight to make sure there were no issues with the starter or the flywheel balance but it wouldn't turn over. I think it has to do with the interlock that only allows the automatic truck to start in neutral or park because I was able to start it by jumpering from battery + to the starter solenoid.
What do I have to do to the wiring to get around this interlock?
By the way I am using a 351 flywheel with 164 teeth on my 302 and it worked fine.
On my 78 F150 A/T there is a 4 pin connector that appears at or near the firewall, above the RH (passenger) valve cover, and exits a larger harness and is about 6" to the connector. I think this used to connect to a tail that went to the interlocks, but have no idea, it hase been like this for over 15 years. Anway,on mine, it has two jumpers, parallel on the long axis.

1 & 2 are both red on mine, 3 and 4 both have 2 conductors entering. GL
