yes the truck keeps on cuttin out and then fires right back up dont no y. its a 1986 ford f150 302 5.0 EFI 4x4 very weird all electric parts are new, this will happen 3 to 4 times maybe more in a mile tell me what you all think
thanks for your help
With a problem like that there could be a number of conditions that would cause it.
You said all your electrical parts are new. For the time being we'll assume they're good. What about the connectors and the wires leading to them? Visually inspect all wires and connectors for corrosion and damage. Then, start the engine and wiggle/pull on wires under the hood. Listen for any changes. Don't forget to look at the wiring on the right hand (passenger side) fender well. I found a broken one there that was keeping my truck from starting. It was black with a green stripe.
Lastly, new electrical parts don't always equal 'good' electrical parts especially when it comes to ignition parts.
hey buddy thanks alot for the help but i believe i found out what was wrong with i was looking under the hood today with it idling, inspecting wires and i was looking at the fuel pump relay and messed with the connections a little and no luck then i slammed the hood and the truck shut off. so i tryed to start it again and it wouldnt start, and i also COULD NOT here the high pressure pump, so i checked the high pressure fuel pump and messed with the 2 wires coming out of it and then it cranked right up. So i think i got it fixed for the moment
thanks again for the help
