gashog, what did you do? Did it involve the words "Hey bubba, hold my beer" ?
yeah kinda like that. my friend was heling me carry the ford 330 ft block and crank i found then he wussed out because it was to heavy. so i picked the whole thing up myself and walked it to the truck a good 100' i felt a sharp pain in my chest and knew something went wrong. i had lumps on my back form the ribs poping out. the doctors was able to reset them and gave me a pain killer. it hurts to breathe with the broken sternum.
These Fe's are rough on ya, I tore the cartlidge in my chest , drilling out broken off bolts in a 360 with a electric drill. I pushed a little too hard and felt that pain, hurts bad. Then went to the hospital and got X-Rayed.

I got 2 words for those of you that like throwing FE parts around....ENGINE HOIST!
yep i would have. but not a option. found the truck in a field of a old slaughter house. driving to it was not a option we parked a good 150 ft away form it on the nearest road. we spent a good 3 days wrenching on the truck to get at what i thought was a 391 ft but after i got home and rusty pointed out a few things it turned out to be a 330 ft. with no hoist we took the engine aprt and moved it piece by piece. the block was heavy and awkward to move. i am also not that big of guy 6' 275 lbs
