99 F250 electric problems?
Hello, I have a 1999 F250 7.3 super duty diesel 4x4. We went to texas to get this truck-thought it was a great deal for a great price, but all we have had since we got it has been problems. On our way home it died (we where doing about 50 mph) it sat & started right up-no more problems on the way home. When we got it home it started dying.We replaced the cpm sensor & the fuel filter & oil change. It didn't fix the problems. So we had ford test it & they said it was the ebp sensor-so we changed that. Still has not fixed the problem. It seems like it runs better when its cold & when the truck gets hot it shuts down. PLEASE HELP!

Does it run rough before it dies? Does it smoke any, if so, what color? Does the Service Engine Soon light come on? Has it been modified from stock in any way that you are aware of?

Had it tested again by ford & found no problems-said it could be a short? No smoke, all i know is it had a green chip which we have removed because they said it could be that. Nothing comes on that I can remember & latetly it will start right up with no problems, but if you drive it then let it sit & idle it dies. Could it be the fuel pump? We are puzzled!
