Flush. And if you want to change the filter, too, you can also do that. It's all in the instructions.

If you pull the pan, you will have a better idea of what your transmission is doing. Flushing leaves junk in the pan. I always pull the pan and replace the filter on my truck, and gm car. No failures yet!

You didn't read the instructions I posted, especially the steps where it tells about dropping the pan and changing the filter.

Flushing will change more of the fluid than dropping the pan alone, even if you drain the torque converter. If you use the instructions above you will also change the fluid in the coolers and lines, valve body, clutches, servos, etc. Simply draining doesn't do that.

I think what everyone is saying is you need to do both in order to perform a good service on your tranny.

Flushing doesn't clean out the pan or help the filter, and dropping the pan doesn't change all the fluid.

Any idea if this procedure will work for an AOD tranny? I don't see why it wouldn't. I may be wrong though.

The AOD is almost identical to the 4R70W, and those instructions talk about the 4R70W, so yes, it will work.

I've used those on about 10 different cars and trucks. It works great on all of them!

I agree, I am not sold on flushing. I can see it if tranny has been over heated and fluid cooked (and you should still drop pan and change filter) but not for normal maintaince. Drop pan change filter and freshen the fluid. I have been doing that now for about 30 years with no failures yet.
