Graduation present ideas!?

My brother is getting ready to graduate with a BS in occupational therapy and I don't have any good ideas for a good present. I'd like it to be something he can use once he starts working. I was thinking maybe a laptop, but not sure if he would have use for it. I'd suppose I can just ask what he wants, but I'd rather suprise him. I'm willing to spend a grand or maybe more, any ideas?

OT'S have their own PC stations they all work from in the department. A nice palm pilot ( hand held pc ) would be sharp. The OT'S have to put down a lot of info for documentation daily, so IC a PP being waaay cool.

Graduation hmmmm. How about a get-out of jail free card? Just kidding! That's a tough one. Does he have any hobbies that cross over into his work? How about a vacation (cruise). How's his vehicle situation- car need work or maybe go-fast parts? Does he have a girlfriend or any tight-lipped friends you could maybe get some ideas from? I must say one thing. He has one heck of a brother.

From what he tells me, it kinda depends on the rehab setting. At a hospital setting, it's mostly forms you check off and make notes and then you may have a clerk to enter the info on the computer. At an out patient setting there's alot more paperwork. It's a good idea, I'll keep it in mind. Thanks!

Triton,

How bout a MPS player like the Dell jukebox or Ipod.. He could use it during the ride to and from work and also at home or in work (if they allow it).
