I know that feeling. I had my dog lock me out one time at the fuel station, I left the truck run with the A/C on so he wouldn't fry while I was filling up and he stepped on the auto door-lock. I used a flat screwdriver and pried it between the back slider window and luckily it popped the latch open on it and I crawled through and unlocked the doors. It was quite embarassing at the time, but kinda funny now.
Keys locked in truck. I hate that - and yes, it is very embarrassing. A few years ago, I managed to lock my keys in my truck four times in two months.
I decided to fix the problem. Since I keep my car/truck keys on one keychain, and my house/other stuff keys on a second, I just added a spare truck key to my house keys. End of problem. Well, it worked for me, anyway.
I got out of the truck once with my keys, wait... that wasn't my keys... that was my phone... Truck idled for about an hour as I wandered store to store trying to find an "antique style" STEEL WIRE coat hanger. Finally found one and a really, really motivated kid who worked at the store. I pried the door out at the top with the handle of a pair of pliers (which is kinda soft and won't chip the paint) while he used the wire to push the unlock button. It kinda scratched the paint a little on the inside of the door jam where we shoved the wire through, and it took about 20 mins of monkeying with it but we did it. Mine is a crew cab and the door shuts very tightly to the "B" pillar. If you have a super cab it will be much easier.
