302 to 347 stroker kit?

I have a 93 F-150 with a 302, I just hit 200,000 miles on the original motor, and it's starting to go. Front and rear main seals are shot, and soft knocks a bit, cold mournings she knocks hard. I have replaced plugs, wires, all filters and injectors. But now she's starting to skip a beat, checked wires, distributor and all the other jaz, and I think it's her time, I want to stroke her out, to get a little more power for the bigger wheels, but I do not know if a stroker kit is the answer, Should I just bore her out and get the heads done?? I'm just looking for thoughts and opinions on the stroker kit. Is it worth it!

it would not be worth it to me unless i had already spent the money to convert from speed density to mass air. ford's mass air conversion kit costs close to $600. stroker kits $1K min for the less expensive parts. there are dozens of 351W's out there...find a dead one, rebuild it, run speed density with a 351 computer and you'll get your extra cubes. cheers, garsten

i agree, the 5.8 swap would be the most cost effective and will take care of your power needs. plus you can do less and get more vs the 302 requiring more mods to make any such gains

do a search on here and on the web for 302 -351w swaps. you will find a few forums talking about it. I did this and gained 40lbft of torque over my previous 302 and boy can you feel it. I am running 35's on stock gears and i still have more pep then my 302 gave me on 31's and stock gears
