I think all 8' beds up to mid 90's (maybe later) are the same dimensions.

73-96 windsheilds, rear windows, rear bumpers, wheel bolt patterns, bed dimensions, are all the same.

True except for the windshields, 73 to 79 are the same.

curious to how that would look...an older ford with a tonneau cover. Lets see some pics when you get everything settled.

I would really like some more info on this tonneau cover. Have contacted multiple hard tonneau cover companies and ALL have told me that they do not have a hard tonneau that will fit a '73-'79 Ford. How about a manufacturers brand name & model number. Thanks, any help greatly appreciated. I will post pix when I get this mysterious tonneau installed.

For what it is worth, I did see a company on eBay the other day advertising a cover (new, made to order) for 73-79 Ford trucks,,... It was in the parts section.

They tell you that becouse they don't want to guarantee the fit, becouse the tops of the boxes don't have the exact same contour, but it will fit. You might have to make small changes to the hinge or latchs, but again, it should fit fine.

My cover for my 79 crew that I posted in a few pics above was originally on a 96 F150 shortbox. Looking at it you could not tell that it was not for the crew. Fits perfect!
