Where did you see this? I'm not aware of any loyalty rebate on ANY Ford product at this time. There is an extra $1000 on 2006 Explorer for A/Z-Plan buyers.

Another $1,000 rebate for A Plan and X Plan retiree (Dealer says can be used by immediate son or daughter) and should be requested at the time the PIN Code is requested from Detroit. I have to call Monday and see if I can still obtain this additional discount code. They will not tell you this is available unless you ask for it...
This is for RETIRED, HOURLY Ford Motor Company employees (and their immediate family members) ONLY. It does not apply to any X-Plan sales, and is not compatible with the $1000 A/Z Explorer rebate I mentioned above.

Keep it simple appears to be $100.00 below X-Plan price from the invoices I looked at. This is also how the sales people are presenting it.

A & X Plan buyers still get better pricing...
It's X-Plan PLUS $100, not below. And A-Plan has always been better than X-Plan, but if you don't qualify, it doesn't make much difference.

The $1000.00 owner loyalty rebate was on the 2005 Expedition....Saw the complete print out of all rebates available to me. (Sorry, I didn't keep a copy of the rebate sheet to give you the code for it) I just had to show proof of ownership with a recent tag receipt to obtain the rebate. Purchased the truck Saturday morning using it and I was able to obtain the additional $1,000 rebate for retired hourly employee's by calling Detroit and asking for it first thing Moday morning. I had a total of $8,000 in rebates on top of my Z plan discount.

The sales guys were stating $100.00 below invoice to other customers. I didn't pay too much attention to rest of their pitch since I was working my deal at the time. I didn't get the pitch since I walked in and told my sales guy I was a X-plan buyer first thing.

I currently have a Zplan number and my mom is a retired hourly employee. I don't know anything about the $1000 rebate available to me and neither does mom. How do I obtain this rebate? Do I need to call them or get a new pin? Or does mom need to do that since she is the retired employee?

Thanks,
Adam

PSD4Adam, I hope the following info helps:

Ford Division is announcing a $1,000 Voucher Program available to all Ford/UAW hourly retirees for:

- All new 2005/2006-Model Ford Car, SUV, and Truck through F-350 eligible for A/Z-Plan

- Effective November 1, 2005 through October, 31, 2006.

Eligible Ford Motor Company hourly retirees will have one (1) $1,000 Voucher available for themselves, surviving spouses or for use among their eligible family members under the Z-Plan Program. The retiree or surviving spouse has two options to secure a PIN with the voucher:

* Contact the AXZ-Plan Call Center at 1-800-348-7709 to request a PIN. When requesting a PIN, the Call Center Representative will inquire as to whether the individual would like to attach the $1,000 Voucher to that PIN.

OR

* Go to www.axz.ford.com to request a PIN. When requesting a PIN, the system will inquire as to whether the individual would like to attach the $1,000 Voucher to that PIN.

All PINs with this $1,000 Voucher will be identified with the specific voucher code assigned to the incentive (i.e. V5) at the end of the PIN (Example: 12-345-67V5). In addition, customers generating PINs via the web site will be provided a screen print function displaying the same format.

Eligible retirees will also be mailed a letter announcing the program with a provided tear-off section to enter their PIN and the PIN holder's name. Retirees will be encouraged to bring this completed postcard or the printed web form to the dealer for confirmation of PIN eligibility.

Please Note:
The 2005/2006-Model Ford/UAW Hourly Retiree $1,000 Voucher Program (PGM#9646) is available only to hourly retirees who retired on or before October 1, 2003 or surviving spouses of such retirees.

Eligible Vehicles: All new 2005/2006-Model Ford Car, SUV, and Truck through F-350 eligible for A/Z-Plan
Eligible Customers: Qualifying residents of United States.

Ouch! It is only available to employees who retired on or before Oct 1, 2003. That sucks. She retired this April.

Thanks,

Yes, and I can't reply until you clean out your PM mailbox. I tried, but I got a message stating your inbox was full, and they won't allow any more messages to be sent until you clear it out.

I guess im going to be ordering....

So whats the norm on the rebates do the dealers usually give you what is available at order time or at delivery time?
If they give me a choice, im wondering if I should take the deals at delivery time as they may be more.

Dealer says that the rebates and incentives are always the best at the end of the year. Not sure if hes correct as it seems weve had employee pricing, simple plan going on now since this past summer.

What do you guys think that the Incentives and rebates will do after Jan 3rd?

Ford is the one providing the rebate, and their OFFICIAL policy is: you get the rebate that's in effect at the time of delivery. From there, it's up to each dealer if they want to add on to that policy. My dealership guarantees the rebate that's in effect at the time of order; if the rebate goes down, I'll make up the difference. If the rebate goes up, then you'll get the higher rebate. A win-win policy that very few other dealers are willing to match.

If there's a "best" time of year to purchase a vehicle, I have yet to figure it out. And I can tell you for sure that the rebates on January 4th will do one of three things: go up, stay the same, or go down. There is no way of knowing anything for sure, until the morning of the 4th. Of course, if I'm guaranteeing the current rebate, could someone explain to me the benefit in WAITING to see what the rebates do on the 4th? I keep asking that question but no one ever answers.

I know you dont have a crystal ball and it is a silly question to begin with asking whats going to happen.
But I guess I was just looking for a "based on' type of answer. Thinking that if you were in the buisness long enough that you may have a feeling for stuff like this, some kind of a 'I bet they are going to do this" type of feeling.

Id love to by a truck from you jeff, or polar, for that matter. Just based on what Ive read here and what has been said about you guys. I just dont think I can justify finding the time to go pick it up and driving it back this time of the year.

Please keep in mind that every time I've done that, I've been DEAD WRONG. But if you were to hold a gun to my head and ask that question, I'd say it would be pretty stupid of Ford to lower rebates right about now, as the current level of sales wouldn't justify it. Having siad that in public, Ford will now lower rebates on the 4th...

I understand and appreciate that, but I have people here on FTE (as well as customers right here in my local area) that have been dragging their feet for months on an order, worrying about what future rebates are going to be. If I'm GUARANTEEING them, they why are people constantly watching and waiting? There must be something about my program that I'm not getting across to the public, and that's very frustrating for me.

I doubt that it is your message as I am sure that it is loud and clear. As you know, "waiting for a better deal" translates to they ain't ready to buy...for whatever the real reason is. That part is out of your control...but, don't blame your message. It is good.

And besides, good sales peple are destined to be frustrated...part of what makes 'em good..
