I wonder if this thing keeps track of how many posts you 'read'. That might be worth knowing. Like when you see that someone has read 47,000 posts and only posted 100. You know they are searching & reading and not just asking the same question that someone else asked last week!
Congrats on your 100th post - I just got mine last week.
He's just getting it. He's 15 years young. Can you believe it! He's gonna be the 1st teenage Moderator (w/two Powerstrokes and still in high school).
that is freakin' awesome..! man i mean really...! i wished that i had a mule like mine when i was in high school, but they didn't make them back then..! i had to wait over 20 years before i got my mule..! i have to say he is WAY AHEAD of the game..! congrats man..! enjoy your mule when you get to go drive it..! be careful out there though... people drive crazy..! always watch out for what "the other guy" is doing...!

man.... i can't even REMEMBER when i was 100...! i must be getting old..!
very knowledgeable kid, too.
Gave me some good info on the intake/intercooler boots that leak out all your boost!
thanks for the compliments. i post on the general auto discussion and non related boards,, FTE members only, and in the superduty and general diesel forums. i am always looking for new posts to help people out. surprisingly, my daily post count is only 9 or 10 something i think, but it goes up with every post. i just like helping people, i like the feeling when someone has a question and you know the answer. by the way, all of my knowledge i have learned here at FTE, and i do spend 90% of my time on the internet here on FTE, just reading old posts and stuff of the sort.
and, my truck didnt come easy. i worked for my dad since i was 9 or 10, saving every penny i earned. i remember starting out at like $2.75 and hour. now i am at $9.

That's quite an accomplishment. If you were my son I would be very proud of you.

it would be AWESOME to have a dad like you
my dad never sat down and taught me about cars and trucks and stuff. i am slowly getting maintenance records on all the trucks, noticing how over-due they are. like a true ford, they are still running.

here's the thing about dads... they always want their sons to be independant... lots of times dads don't teach their sons things that they are good at because they want their sons to have the chance to find out what they are good at... confused yet..? i'll give you an example: my dad put himself through college playing drums in a band... his lead singer was a guy named Taj Mahal... some of you much older guys may have heard of him... anyway... my dad NEVER encouraged me to play drums... why...? i'm not sure... but i think he just didn't want to "push" me into being like him... he wanted me to be me.... now, when i went to him to ask him if i could use his old drumset to join a band his grin was ear to ear...! dad's are always proud of their boys when they accomplish things on their own...! i would say you are doing better than most young men your age... look at the money you have saved... how hard you have worked... how far you have come... and the fine truck that you call your own...! pretty damn good for a young man of your age i would say..! congrats..!

Well, thank you. It helps to have kids that are gearheads like you and I. Trying to get my step daughter to even lift the hood and check her oil requires powerful explosives. Before she met her husband and got married I simply did it for her. I knew for sure that she wasn't.....
She's fully grown now with two kids of her own. Her youngest son is showing signs of interest. He likes putting on the welding mask and watching me weld.

Wow, this 7.3 forum has just gone to another level, Man to Young Man conversation with some "good job" to be proud of. Who would've thunk it. I think I might have just got the chills.
