heater hot & cold
I have an 83 ranger 2.3l. the heater get hot the cold. If i speed up or gear down it starts to blow hot air again. I've covered the front of the rad, but same thing happens. Could it be the thermostat? I bought this for a winter driver (so i could park my f350) so heat isimportant. Thanks

It could be your thermostat. If it's stuck open, the coolant is constantly flowing and not having enough time to heat up.
Check your radiator cap while you're under the hood. After a couple mile drive, squeeze your upper radiator hose to see if it's under pressure. It should be hard not soft when squeezing. Replace your cap if soft.
