Where on the engine did you find that number? It's not a Ford casting number. Is this engine in a vehicle?
The casting number is located on the block just above the starter. It's a starting point, but even that won't help us identify the engine, only the year of the casting design.
Is the water outlet located horizontally on the front of the intake manifold, or vertically on the block just in front of the manifold? How many bolts hold each valve cover to the head?
If there are six valve cover bolts and the water outlet is on the manifold, then it should be in the 302/351W family. From there we have to determine which one it is.
Here's an illustration that shows the difference.
If you're still not sure, try to get a pic of it and post it. We can identify more easily then.

I can´t see it clearly, but I have the firing order (15426378) is in the intake maniford.... If U want I can email you the pics because I dont know how to post it... excuse my english...
It's very simple to post it. The pic must be 400x400 pixels or smaller and in gif, jpe, jpeg, jpg, pdf, png, or psd format. Simply click on the "Go Advanced" button on the bottom of the page when you make a post.
When the new window opens up, scroll down to "Manage Attachements" and click on it. You will get a pop-up window with a box that says "File to upload" above it and "Choose" to the right of it. When you click "Choose" you will get another window that shows what's on your hard drive, and you can search for the pic there.
If you have it on your desktop already, that's the easiest since the window usually opens up to that first. Click on the file that is your pic and it loads into the little box, then go over to the far right and click on "upload". It takes a few seconds, and then you can click on "Submit reply" and the pic should come up in your post.
Oops, sorry 'bout that...I forgot, posting attachements is one of the perks of being a Club FTE member.
The next best way is to start a gallery for yourself. Click on "User CP" at the top left side of any page here, and it takes you to your User Control Panel. On the left side you see a menu. go to "Edit Gallery" and click on that, then follow the instructions for setting up your gallery. It's easy to do, and you can upload picture there and either link to them in your post or tell users to look at your gallery.
Okay, I see you got it! Bueno! What you have there appears to be a mid-to-late 70's 302. It's got the Duraspark ignition, two-barrel intake with EGR and a smog pump. I would imagine you could ditch those last two items!
thanks man!! U was very helpfull. I was planing to rebuild it. Put a nice cam and put some 10:1 flat pistons, my idea is to get at least 300 hp. but here in argentina we don´t have to many part available. For example If I want a racing intake maniford I will have to buy it from summit. And for us, 1 dollar is 3 pesos, U know what I mean... but I´ll try.. thanks again
