ive got a bound collection of "Car Exchange": April 1979 to April 1984. My school was going to chuck these and i couldnt let them do it, so i adopted them. i also have a mess of Petersons magazines, 4 wheel adventures, BOTP, LMC, JCW, ACME, AMC catalogs and magazines, the BOTP and LMC are great for finding out information and deciphering VIN numbers.
Check your library, or if you have a youngen get them to check out there library for issues of car magazines, and they usually have a decent selection of automotive books and such.
