Additive

I have tried one tank of Diesel Kleen (1/2 container) and was wondering about RBP?...Whats the difference and any experience in your 6.0L?

I was told NOT to use it every tank; just once in a while.

I'm in the central valley of Kalifornia so I dont get the harsh cold winters.

Thanks

BTW my last tank was 17.11mpg and that was two 150mile trips pig hunting, which is in the hills and includes a night or driving around in 4wd.

Your ultra low sulfur California diesel makes it even more important to run it in every tank. Plus, how does your adviser know that you will not get water with your next fuel up.

Your adviser it seems, needs advice.

I have been running Power Service Gray in every fuel up since the first 1,000 miles. Now at 24,000 +.

As a little humorous side note: Be very, very careful while pig hunting at night. In the dark. Around closing time. Sometimes you might wind up with a coyote.

I use Stanadyne Performance Formula and Diesel Kleen grey alternating between fill-ups. I haven't noticed a difference between the two. I will probably go with Diesel Kleen mainly because it's readily available at Walmart.

BTW, where do hunt pigs bczolone? I go to Paso Robles, don't mean to hijack your thread with that.

i havent noticed any difference in anything with additives, but was trying...

as for pigs I hunt on private land in the sierras (about 15000 acres) between two landowners...I also have a depridation permit allowing me to hunt at night with spot-lights etc....otherwise it'd be illegal to hunt at night.

I'm very pleased with the Ford additive. I just started using it (my buddy says 1.5 mpg improvement), but I really notice how much quieter the engine is. The additive must really have a lubrication factor. Only $6 per bottle that treats 125 gallons of dino fuel. Ford and International engineers have endorsed it so no future warranty concerns.

It's called Cetane Booster and Performance Improver with part number PM-17A. The other additive is an anti-gel product. Not cold enough yet for that.
