They write checks to me too - I'm a stockholder.

I don't think that drinking imports or microbrews implies snobbery - just a search for the good things in life, tastebud-wise. Most of the big factory brews are made so they don't offend anyone's tastebuds, so they end up bland. It's not that much more for a well-made microbrew, cash-wise, and I'm looking for a tasty beverage, not to get blitzed as cheaply as possible. That's what Everclear is for...

Seems like I'm always saying this, but, I don't drink.

However. As far as root beer goes... I like Sioux City Sasparilla, IBC, A&W, Hires, 1910, Barqs, Mug and then the generics.

Oh how true that is! A necessary evil when you want to drink beer while doing yard work and can't get so drunk you pass out in the yard....

Wow, four pages in under 24 hours, we like our beer don't we ...

I had to move across my fair country to be able to drink my favorite again: Molson Export.

For the 15 years I was separated from Ex, I drank Tree Amber Ale. No good mainstream ales in BC, just microbrews. Lots of good microbrews all over the USA too. I pick whatever is local and it's always fun to sample them all

The Northwest has the best microbrews anywhere. I have too many favorites to list.

Fat Tire (New Belgium Brewing Co.) If that isn't available a Michelob is good and smooth.

I'm not a big beer guy but when I do drink it it'll be Molson Canadian, Molson Canadian 6.0 Cold Shots, Miller Genuine Draft and Labatts Blue. Not a big american beer guy.

And I thought that Everclear was used as a clearcoat.

Yuengling is definitely my beer of choice, but Killian's, or Labatt Blue works in a pinch!
