FLUID LEAK
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 12-Mar-02 AT 12:36 PM (EST)] I recently parked my 76 F100 on a hill (front facing uphill) and after a few hours when I came back to the truck, there was fluid in the floorboard. It looked like brake fluid but the source looked like it was coming from where the steering column goes through the firewall. Still, I think it could be the Master cylinder rear seal. I don't have power assisted brakes, the master cylinder just bolts right to the firewall. Anybody know for sure what it could be? I checked the fluid in the master cylinder and it looked a little low in the back reservoir. :-X11

FLUID LEAK
Go ahead and pull the master cylinder off and check behind it to see if it is wet. If you have enough line, you should be able to carefully pull it out without disconnecting the lines to check it.

I appreciate your help Franklin2.....That was it!!!!I guess now the thing to do is replace the Master Cylinder.
The one on it now has a plastic tag on the bail wire that holds the fluid cover and it has GM (remanufactured) on it!
