This is not a want ad. I called L & L and they told me that there chasis exit headers will not fit a dana 60 front. I was wondering if anyone has found a header that works, or does L & L works fine. I called a guy today and he didn't know what to tell me. I think the only other company that make chasis exit header for a 460 in 1979 F250, is Hooker. But they recomend that you buy there motor mounting pieces too. Their ceramic coated ones are $600. So If anyone hasa brand that works or personally has a pair, some advise would be great.
headers------have my sandersons sitting here on the floor , waiting to be installed on my motor------AFTER the tune up and checkout--the old exhaust manifolds will be removed and the headers installed , then its to the muffler shop for anew exhaust........the instruction's from sandersons tells you that the initial burnin of a new motor results in overly high exhaust temperatures---which will RUIN the cermanic coating on a new set of headers----so you install them AFTER the initial burnin------their quality is superb---you get what you pay for with this product!!!!!!fd :-X11
Another option you can check is "Stan's Headers", a Tri-Y design. I haven't dealt with them but you can check their web page and see if it's for you. www.stans-headers.com
