Chip/tuner opinion

I have a 1999 F150 Ext Cab LB with the 5.4, auto tranny. I recently went up two tire sizes from stock and have lost a little performance. I was told that a chip/tuner would help make up the lose.

I do mostly city driving with a occasional highway trip. Once in a great while I may tow or haul something but this two is almost all city driving.

There are many to chose from and I am somewhat confused as to what may be the best.

Would appreciate all opinions
Ed

You'll gain some power with the chip but you really should change gear ratios when changing tire size. The chip or tuner can also correct the now inaccurate speedometer.
