Just put a edelbrock performer intake and carb on my stock 460. I have the dist. advance going to the "timed advance" port (passenger side). Is this right? Should it be hooked up to the "full vacuum advance" (driver's side? I ask because it is idling a little rough and I want to rule it out.
Customline, it goes to the timed port; no vacuum at idle, vacuum increases with rpm. You can remove it altogether and plug the carb port, for testing purposes. The engine will run very well without it. Fuel mileage will suffer, though.
