I was doing some fluid replacement on the truck the other day (brakes, anti freeze, etc) and the clutch fluid came to my attention.
Does the clutch fluid (not the gear box, but the clutch fluid) need to be replaced? According to the cap it's just DOT3 brake fluid which to my understand absorbs water. And if I was to replace the clutch fluid, how would I go about doing so? Is it similar to bleeding the brakes? Does anybody know where I can find a "walk through" for the procedures?
I have a 98 with the 5 speed 4.2L and changed my clutch fluid last year. There should be a bleeder just as the line goes into the housing. I had help as one person opening the bleeder and the other depressing the clutch pedal. Keep the resivoir filled.
