Ok this is kind of hard to explain but about 3 months ago I installed a new stereo in my 93 f-150 and I am now having problems with the battery and all things electronic. When I flash my bright lights everything gets reset like the radio, gauges, and that’s about all the electronics on it... and another problem is it intermitaly wont start due to the lack of power. I checked and re-checked the battery and alternator and they are working just fine. My dad thinks its something in the ignition, if the key is out you can sometimes start it. Me and my dad are out of ideas so I thought id throw it to you guys. Sorry for the grammatical errors and such.
Hmmmm sounds like a problem my buddy had/still has. He put a new stereo in, and when you open the passenger door, the cd player pauses. The only way to unpause it is to hit the button to roll down the driver side window. Freaky stuff. Sorry this wasnt helpful, but at least you arent the only one with problems like that lol.
Check your positive battery cable at the battery terminal real good. I'm not a big fan of Ford battery cables and these problems sound similar to those that I have experienced.
Also check that you dont have a coil of extra wire near your harness. It will creat and electromagnetic field around the coil of wire and screw with the wires around it. Alot of dodges had these problems.
I think he has just learned to live with it honestly. I havent talked to him for a while. His truck is all messed up wire wise. The reverse lights are on all the time, but go out when the brakes are applied lol.

I had a similar problem. Radio would keep playing after turning key off. You had to press the power window button and then the radio would turn off.
After a month of this, the radio also started turning on all by itself (usually at 3 am when all are asleep).
The problem: wires in main harness that were fused together. I took the cheap fix of jumpering the short.

I thought that was a "feature" of Dodge's in general. ;-))))
