For radical cam changes, the tuners aren't designed for this, except the SCT Xcal2 which handles custom tunes. You can get those on our web site, www.motorhaven.com. Or you can do it with an SCT chip or Diablo chip, custom tuned, either available through www.motorhaven.com.

Note that the primary reason certain cams aren't rated as drop-in emissions compliant is not because the mass air computer can't handle them, but because they'll likely cause your truck to fail emissions.

Talking I can go higher?

I can go higher on the cam duration without getting excal or diablo without it messing with my cpu?or i would still need to get a cpu upgrade for larger cam. and if i still need programmer What would the total price be on the excal and diablo for everything i would need? i have 5.4L if any other info u need i can get for u... looks like the excal has a chip u have to buy with the handheld for an additional price?
