MotorHaven Shipping

I placed an order for a Diablo Predator on Monday. When I spoke to the rep there he said he was leaving for Vegas Tuesday but would get my order out Monday. I live in Alabama so I would expect the package today or tomorrow.
Does anyone know how MotorHaven ships? I know it's ground but is it UPS FedEx or another? I received an email saying the order had been placed but no delivery confirmation email with a tracking number. Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Austin

That's interesting. When I talked to the guy on Monday he told me would get it out the same day and I would have it by Wednesday or Friday. I did find on their website where they send you a delivery confirmation emial with tracking numbers. Did you receive such?

thats funny, I ordered a chip back in September and i'm still waiting.
I talked to Jason last week and he said, "Your order however is being worked on, you made the cut, the delay, no excuses, I will overnight it, no cost to you when it is done, I will email you back shortly with an ETA on it."

I'm still waiting so don't hold your breath.

I emailed them on Monday to inquire on a SCMT, they called me back to say someone would be answering my inquiry. No reply as of today, I think they all ran off to the SEMA show. I don't think I will be doing business with them after reading about all of your experiences, aloha.

I did receive a tracking number. I was told same day shipping too. It actually shipped 4 day after placing the order. Can't complain though, the price is great and the added CLUB FTE discount made it more than worth it.

These weren't exactly the responses I was hoping for. I think they all ran off to the SEMA show as well. That's where I was told they were going on Tuesday. Guess they decided to take off a day early and left Monday afternoon.

I really wanted that thing before the weekend. I got larger tires and wanted to make sure my spedometer was correct before I headed out of town. I wonder if MotorHaven will pay for any tickets I get!

A. This isn't Motorhaven's or any other sponsoring vendors order inquiry board. We have asked in the past, and now again, not to use it as such.
B. Practically the entire industry is at SEMA right now.
C. A person's lack of advance planning isn't MotorHaven's fault. It amazes me that a person knows they are going on a road trip and they'll wait until 5 days before they leave to make a mail order purchase. Seriously, think about that. If something is so important to come to a forum and dog someone who's out of town, isn't important enough to do some basic planning in advance?
D. If the order was placed correctly, the credit card number correct, expiration correct, the address returned from the credit company matches the address you gave, and the credit wasn't declined.... the order was sent to the wd that day or the next morning.
E. FYI... MotorHaven didn't leave early Monday. As a matter of fact the entire crew came in to work extra early Tuesday before their flight to try to get extra work done for their customers.

Not fair to dog the vendor in public forum when they can't check because they're out of town and you're behind a keyboard.

I'm going to leave this thread up until Jason gets back, reviews the facts and can post ALL the details. Fair is fair...

It was never my intentions to dog MotorHaven. This is my first dealings with the company and as soon as I called, I spoke with a representative immediately. I was very satisfied with the service I received up until placing an order. I'm not angry by any means that I didn't recieve my tuner by this weekend. I am disappointed that I was told one thing and another was done. The fact of the matter is that I am not the only one this has happened to. No one has posted anything derogatory about MotorHaven. My comment about the ticket was strictly a joke.

I got my tires on Thursday of last week and spent the weekend researching tuners and the like. I never really expected to receive one by this weekend but was told I would be. I'm not mad that I didn't get it. I am simply disappointed that I was told one thing and another was done.

Again, this is not about planning or poor planning. This is about being told something and it not happening. Had I been told that the tuner would not ship until after everyone was back from Las Vegas, that would have been fine.

Finally, I was not making an order inquiry. I knew they were all gone, and would not use this fourm as such. I was unaware of their shipping policy and was simply curious if they sent an email confirming that the product had indeed been shipped.

sorry

I'm sorry, i ordered my chip in September. In October i finally got around to email them about my chip. On October 25th they replied back saying they were sorry and would have one next day aired out at no charge. I have not received it and have not heard a word. To me it is no big deal and I'm in no rush. Just don't say something and not follow through.

I do under how important this show is to them. I love this forum and would like to support its sponsors. I'm sure they will take care of me when they return.

I would like to apologize to everyone that has read this thread and to the folks of MotorHaven. It was never my intentions to start a thread criticizing MotorHaven. I had placed an order on Monday and was told it would ship that same day. On Tuesday, I had not received a confirmation email and was hoping someone on this site might shed some light on MotorHaven shipping policies and the like.

I spoke with Jason from MotorHaven yesterday morning and we have worked out the details on my order. I also apologized to Jason for this thread and my posts.

I have been satisfied with the service I have received from MotorHaven. They are a great asset to one of my favorite sites. Any of you that still claim to have a problem with MotorHaven or have not received any packages, I would suggest calling Jason as I know personally that he will make sure you are assisted.

Again, I apologize for my posts.

Okay, here's the info on all of it:

1. The user waiting for a month+... it was our fault. This order was put in our system yet never made active (ie, it never got to the programmer). It was shipped out today, overnight, and a significant discount has been added to the order. We would have gotten it out earlier this week but between Ken being out for a couple of days with an ear infection and Jason taking care of a family there haven't been many people in the office this week.

2. I believe the other order was discussed with Jason that Monday morning, but wasn't placed until about 2:00 EST, just before everyone headed out early for the day(Halloween). Should have it there by now.

3. The order that took two weeks, our records indicate it was charged on 6-3-2005 and shipped the next day: 6-4-2005.
There you have it folks, we didn't mess up on one of them, but we did on the other. Having said that, we're shipping 100-200 chips/tuners per month. It draws a very unfair conclusion to look at 2-3 orders here when there are hundreds who didn't have a problem. Its one of the reasons FTE doesn't want the forums to be used for order status with any of its sponsors (like looking at the return line at Target and not seeing the hundreds who walk out happy with their purchases).

Thumbs down Update

First, I did receive the chip. It was on Tuesday the 15th, NOT on Friday like they said in the above post. They never shipped it until Monday.

Second, I never received any discount like they said!

Third, I never received any apology for waiting almost two months.(except when I e-mailed them on October 24th and they said they were sorry and I would have it the next day)

Just thought I would let everybody know what the update on this was. I'm not saying it will happen to everybody and I might have been one in a million, but this is how they handled my case.
good luck
