Mpg Meter

Does Anyone Know How To Calibrate The Mpg Meter. The One In The Overhead Console. It Seems Like It Used To Be Pretty Accurate Until I Chipped My Truck. And That Goes The Same For My Previuos Truck.
If There Is No Way To Calibrate Then I Guess I'll Have To Live With It Like I Always Have.
Don't Think There Is Because I've Never Seen It Mentioned Or Talked About On Any Forum But Just Checking.

Have you checked your owners manual? I remember reading something about it in there I do not have mine handy to check it.

If your overhead console has two buttons like mine, one says Mode, the other has E/M on it, then what you do when you get to the MPG part, push both buttons at the same time, and it resets it. Give it a try

Nope, when you chipped it (or added the 10k mod for that matter) you sacrificed the mileage part of the overhead. The therometer still should work right.

Mine is always on the low side for MPG by about 20 percent...I should reset it like you said.
