Question Dual Front Shocks?

I've been thinking about putting dual shocks on the front of my f250. It's an 04 PSD What I'd like to hear about is, which ones work better for this set up. Right now I'm running with MX6 all the way around the truck, But thinking about different shocks for the front, as these mount bootside down. Just like the boots above the wheel to see! Anyways, what shocks will give the best ride and control on the hiway? I've heard this type of setup is alot rougher ride! This truck never sees mud, just blacktop & sand. Anyways, your help & expertise would be great!

Here is a pic of her now!

My brother and I both ran dual mx-6's up front. his is an 03 and mine was a 99. I noticed a difference because mine had a blown es3000 that was stuck so ride sucked, it actually got better for me going single to double with the better shocks. i set mine on the 3rd position. I kinda like the body up though. Especially now on my 05 with rezzies

Thanks EPDP99. Your truck looks like a sweet ride. Does anyone else run dual shocks up front? What do you think of the ride?

I know you have a 250 but I have a 350 PSD with a 6" lift with dual RevTeks up front not as stiff as I thought it would be.Ride is great but going down the road and over some small whoops it will bounce a bit but overall the ride is just fine.Personaly I like a little stiffer ride.Plus I don't know what the ride quality is with a coilsprung suspension over the leaf?

Talking New supporter!

Thanks JMAC. The ride right now was stiff, but I change the settings on the front shocks and alot smoother now. Anyway now I have just joined this site and proud to be a part of it, as it's the best way to get info and help other people too!

JMACC, Your ride looks great! Did you install yourself or have help? My 2 sons help me with the install. We really enjoyed the day together. They are 16 & 14 The 16 yr. old now wants to use it all the time for his dates. I let him every once in awhile. He has a 80 f-100 stepside we are restoreing. It's about 45% done now.

Dual Ranchos

I recently installed a dual set of Rancho RS9000X's on my 2003 F350 Crew Cab, I installed the adapter bracket with the pair of adjustable RS9000X's, I think out of all the shocks I have tried, including Bilsteins, the dual 9000s are the best ride I have achieved so far. I installed them in my driveway in about an hour, helps to have impact wrench, but could easily be done with just hand tools, especially on a newer truck, (less corrosion). I run them on the road on the 5 setting. Look great too, red bracket with red boots. Installed ranchos steering stabilizer also. I know a lot of posters don't like Rancho products, but I have been through about every manufacturer out there, and I returned to Rancho. I like them. Check out there new line, spring over shock, pretty trick, don't know how they work, but look interesting. Good luck.

Texcan-
Thanks! for the compliment youv'e got one nice ride yourself. My dad and I did the install in my gararge, took a good day to do it.The only son that helped was my 2 year old, my 19 yr old is in the Marine reserves and had duty that weekend and my 14yr has not gotten the bug yet but I'm working on him.
