Anyone ever done this?
I was wiring up my new solenoid for my now manual glowplugs and I accidentally had them cycling for over a minute.
I had 7 new motorcraft gps and 1 new autolite.Guess which one got burnt out. Yep, only one was burnt after that much cycling and it was the autolite.
Even with 10 volts going directly from the batteries thru the starter solenoid, to the gps it still takes 10-12 seconds of cycling at 50F to start good.
Do the motorcrafts not go out all at once like other ones. I am wondering if maybe they are still conducting electricity but not getting very hot.
any help will be very appreciated. I have done everything imaginable with this effin' gp system and it aint gonna stay above 0F forever.

From what ive been told, the motorcraft plugs are the only way to go, i was told that by a Ford senior-master tech, and hed seen them all and the lowest failure rate was the motorcrafts, but use what you like.
