I have a 93 bronco 351 dana 44 front diff. I took off the front driveshaft off to replace the u-joints and found out that nobody has heard of these u-joints. They are 3.125 bearing caps all four caps and a cap to cap size of 3.625. The body of the u-joint is common but all four of the bearing caps being the same is not. Has any one else come accros this. The bronco was bought used.
Do the units that are listed by the parts suppliers for that application NOT fit for some reason? I guess I'm not understanding why or how a reputable parts supplier would be unable to cross-reference such a common component. EVERY 4WD 1/2 ton F-series and Bronco of that vintage utilizes those U-joints!
All the part suppliers that I have talked to have the different size caps, two 1.125 and two 1.062 on the same body. Seems that the driveshaft was changed out at sometime or drilled out to accept the larger bearing caps.
