351W rebuild

what would be a good cam to rebuild a 351W

i cant remember the year but i know that it is a older block

it had hyd lifters in it and i am going to use solid lifter cam.

I really like the crane cams but i am up for any sugestions.

the truck is going to street rod truck. i want a rough idle.

just something to turn heads

i am thinking of a 30 over bore and 10/10 on the crank should put me in good standings

i am wanting get a good high compression figure.

i am thinking of a good set of heads. (maybe even aluminum)

What would be a good set?

A going with a aluminum intake. i am looking into the edelbrock performer rpm air gap.

and a 600 cfm carb or more if needed.

what are thoughts on this?

thanks

stroke it. 393 or 408 with a set of AFR 185 heads. youll need a larger carb 750cfm. then call comp cam and tell them what your building and what its going to be used for and they will set ya up. rough idle doesnt make power either

That all depends on the cam. It could be anywhere from 250hp to ~500hp or more. It all depends on what compression ratio you end up with, and how much fuel you pour down it's throat.
