Overhead Rail System - worth while or not?

I checked out the rail system before ordering my truck. I didn't get it. There is a small storage box mounted on the roof that holds sunglasses in models without the rail system. More than enough for me. The roof has a good look without all the hardware.

I have the rail system with 3 bins installed (no DVD). They are basically useless for storing anything but shades and CD's. The third bin is not reachable from the front seat in my Screw and there is a 5 inch gap that shows rail between the last bin and the overhead backseat dome light.
