Same dilemma, years later... Looking for the drip rail for the Supercab. I called Dennis Carpenter and they said that it is out of stock. They said to call back in about 6 months and they should have some in stock. I don't see it in the LMC catalog. I haven't found any Super Cabs in the local junk yards. Any other sources for the Super Cab drip rail molding?

If I should find the drip rail in the junkyard, how would I remove it without tearing it up?

 

Maybe you'll be lucky and find one that isn't glued on and you can carefully pry it off. Whenever I found them in junkyards they were glued on.

 

I need the exact same chrome its for a 76 but I cant find it anywhere. Any suggestions? I'm from eastern Kentucky trucks around here dont get saved they get crushed so im pressed for parts.

 

PM me I have a lead and a great JY near by and I am sure they have some of that trim in there. As soon as I am off the road in a week or so, I will be more than happy to go get and mail out to who ever what ever they need.

Ok I'm just off the road and getting around to making a JY parts list run, you need both sides for a Super Cab dent side moulding (chrome with black plastic insert) right?

And that's just the ext cab portion? I'll be in touch.....

Sorry have been swamped with work and getting ready to get back on the road for 3 weeks. I will try to get up there this week, they should have it.

1973/79 F100/350 Black Vinyl Insert Mouldings: Front fenders, front doors and cab corners (Regular/Crew Cabs) are the same with or without Race Track mouldings.

The Super Cab's bodyside mouldings (follows the door mouldings) are the same 1974/79 with or without Race Track mouldings.

The Crew Cab rear door mouldings are the same with or without Race Track mouldings.

The short/long bed mouldings are the same except for 1977/79's with Race Track mouldings, as these have a curved end to accept the vertical mouldings that connect the upper to the lower mouldings.

All these mouldings are specific to right or left. Carpenter has reproduced all these black vinyl insert mouldings except (AFAIK) the: Super Cab bodyside mouldings and the Crew Cab rear door mouldings.

I've got some supercab trim guys. Got the 2 pieces for the large trim with the rubber moulding as well as 1 side (other side was trashed) of the race track trim pieces.

I also have a complete set of the black rubber trim things for a long bed in pretty good shape for $65 + shipping.

I just got the supercab trim so I haven't had time to post pics yet but I did just take a couple. The stuff is in good shape and highest bid gets it...

2 ones with big, black rubber down the middle have been sold, but the "race track" trim on (thin, lower one) is still here.
