The funny thing is when NASCAR released their press statement regarding the cap, they quoted Jack Roush.. Today on the pre-race show, they interviewed Jack and he said he made no such quote. The Frances are slime.
I want everyone who reads this thread to write to nascar and tell them all the complaints we have about them. then tel your friends and family to write them and before you know it they will have so many letters it will be crazzy. as for toyotas or hondas in nascar, this is an american sport, lets keep it that way. when it was started there were no toyotas or hondas in it. the france familt is running this thing into the ground. i have talked to alot of people that say if a forgin car is in the cup series then they are done watching it. the forgin car market has about put ford and GM down and out. but anyway, if everyone tell nascar how they feel about the sport and the wrong direction it is taking then they will have to do something about it.
Here's something I dug up thismorning

I think more competition will make for a better show.
Who really cares what name is on the front of the car anyway?..A showroom car has about as much resemblence to a nascar racer as it has to the space shuttle anyway. (ever see a "stock" 2 door taurus with a carburator, V/8, 4 speed and rear wheel drive?)

I think Fordzlla has Nascar figured out! The only problem is that they either own the tracks they have droped or they sold them to developers to doze up and build mall's. They own the track under another mane, not Nascar, and the front men are either Humpy wheeler, Bruton Smith, or both and some other guys. You got to get up pretty da** early to get ahead of Humpy. Anybody know about the Legand cars and how they had them tided up? Thats what they want to do with the cup cars.

Nascar ownes about half the tracks they run one ( California Speedway,Chicagoland Speedway, Darlington Raceway, Daytona International Speedway, Homestead-Miami Speedway, Kansas Speedway,,Martinsville Speedway, Michigan International Speedway, Phoenix International Raceway, Richmond International Raceway, Talladega Superspeedway, Watkins Glen International).
Bruton Smith owns most of the others and is not connected with NASCAR through (SMI) Speedway Motorsorts Inc.(Atlanta Motor Speedway, Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina, Texas Motor Speedway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee, and Infineon Raceway in California. Actually he really doesn't care for them and would like ot split off. Humpy Wheeler works for Bruton Smith and is the GM of Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Has anybody seen the "car of the future"? It looks like they welded a current hood and trunk to the cab of my '79 pickup. UUUUGLY! Oh- they're not gonna fit in the haulers, either. Featherlight's gotta love that
If it will actually make the racing better, then I'll take it. Between "aero tight" and plates, only a handful of tracks are exciting with the current cars. Can't really say the Charger and Monte Carlo are attractive looking race cars at the moment, either What's up with the Charger's gonzo nose and the platorms under the Monte Carlo's headlights (looks like they should pad it so crew members can sit down and take a break)? IMHO, they'd be better off taking out 1986 Monte Carlos and T-birds and racing those.
